Hello, I am John, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). I make no claim to any special position or knowledge, but I have read the Book of Mormon dozens of times, and I have a deep love for the teachings of this Book. It has had a more profound effect on my life than any other book, not excluding the Bible. I don't mean that to be an offensive statement; I respect and live by the teachings of the Bible, but I feel that there is even more to be found in the Book of Mormon.

So in brief, I consider the Book of Mormon to contain the word of God. I believe in God as the father of all humans, and Jesus Christ as the savior of all humans. I have learned these things through the witness of the Holy Ghost, after much prayer, obedience, study and faith. Although nothing in these pages is intended to convince others of these truths, I hope they will be of use. If you wish to know the truth of anything relating to God's work with man, I encourage you to try the validity of the promise contained in the last chapter of the Book of Mormon:

Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.

And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having Faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

As you read my musings, I encourage you to reflect carefully on whether what I am saying truly reflects the word of God. Although I am trying to be humble and to honor God, I can sometimes overstep. If you think I have wandered from the truth, feel free to contact me and discuss things with me.
